Good News! The cover of Spider Magazine, the Holiday-November/December 2011 issue, features the illustration art of Normand Chartier. (Click on the image below to see it larger.)

Spider is one of the Cricket Magazine Group's titles published by the Carus Publishing Company of Chicago. It is one of the premier children's magazine publishers in the world. Other magazines in the group include Cricket, Ladybug, and Babybug. Mr. Chartier has illustrated dozens of pieces for each of the group including many covers for each.

The Magazines routinely have included many works by the finest authors and illustrators in childrens publishing.

Normand Chartier is a Connecticut artist, who lives in the rural "Quiet Corner" of the state. He is an accomplished rising watercolorist and an internationally celebrated illustrator, specializing in children's literature.

His luminous impressionistic watercolor paintings have won numerous awards and have found their way into more than two hundred and fifty public and private collections around the entire country.
